In the photograph below, taken in late autumn, conifers show as a deep green while deciduous forest shows as a light brown. A maroon hue indicates a marsh area while yellow-green shades are fields.
At this time, trails through the reservation are minimally marked. Although the MDC reports the site is popular for hiking and birding, the latter tends to be very informal and no regular trips are scheduled here at present.
DIRECTIONS: Take I-95 (SR 128) to SR135 (exit 17). Follow Rt 135 east for ~0.6 miles; the very small (~8 cars) parking lot is on the right, just before the Northeastern University athletic fields.
